I came across this unfortunate bird at Lake Wheeler this morning - considering the obvious, the bird seemed to be in fairly decent health. In hopes of getting the bird some help, I notified a Park Administrator who was going to report the situation to a Wildlife Agent.

Talk about random. I took this shot in Asheville, NC near an overpass and river. The buildings in the area were abandoned with some of them displaying pretty striking graffiti. In any case, I turned the corner of a building and there it was, hanging up over a board. What's the story here?
